Corundum and products with other oxides are characterized with their excellent thermal shock resistance, resistance to corrosion, erosion and spalling, and hence they are new type good refractories used for glass furnace, cement kiln, heaters molten steel ladle, metallurgical furnaces for nonferrous metals and furnaces for chemical engineering industries.
